Weekly Joys recently passed a landmark achievement of having one million views!

Four years ago, WeeklyJoys was created to allow everyone to have access to study materials without societal or financial obligations.  It also started with a sole focus on Mechanical Engineers but now has exams for other engineering disciplines too.  We appreciate the submissions we have received over the years whether it is a scanned test or the answer key the professors provide.  Please consider taking a second to send us any material that you can so we can keep this great website relevant to the classes you all are taking.

2014 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog. It’s incredible what you have all accomplished in a year and only through your help and test contributions were we able to make this happen. Thank you especially to the new admins who were able to take over the site and make it to what it is today.

Here’s an excerpt:

The Louvre Museum has 8.5 million visitors per year. This blog was viewed about 170,000 times in 2014. If it were an exhibit at the Louvre Museum, it would take about 7 days for that many people to see it.

New Admins for Weekly Joys

Hello Fellow ME’s!

It’s very exciting to see all the people using and sharing this resource across Purdue ME. We recently have added 2 new admins (Myself being one of them) to help run the site as the site’s original creators are graduating out soon.  We plan on continuing to keep this site up to date with exams and expanding to as many ME classes as we can.

That said we can always use the help of people like you! We need help collecting tests for all the classes you see here and classes we haven’t covered yet. If you have tests and solutions that we don’t yet have, please help us by sending them in to METestbank@gmail.com. We don’t need perfect exams and we will always black out any personal information from every page you submit.

Finally, if you have any suggestions or comments on how the site can be improved or what you would like to see added, feel free to comment or email us. We are always looking to find new ways to help!

We hope everyone is having an great start to the semester and hope all your studying pays off!

Pay it Forward: Help Needed!

Graduation for some of our Purdue Seniors are quickly approaching. Some, will depart from our ME home on December and other will depart at the end of the following Spring.

Soon too will this site be lost without your help. To the Sophomores, Juniors, and people who will remain this site needs new webmasters. We will no longer be able to provide you with the latest exams for free as the current team is about to graduate. With your help we can continue to “Pay it Forward” and share this incredible resource with future students and our peers.

Weeklyjoys started when a small group of ME students decided that there SHOULD NOT be any financial or social obligations in order for students to get an upper hand on taking exams. Purdue ME is difficult and expensive enough  without having to buy exams or join societies to use their data bases. In order to even out the playing field and truly share knowledge at an academic institution, weeklyjoys was created from a collection of previous exams from students. Weeklyjoys quickly generated a database of over 318 past exams! With your help we hope to see those numbers grow with time and provide a rich resource of academic practices modeled off of ME 370 and ME 274 class blogs.

Commitments to this site is small. Less than a 5 hours per month but the more you put into anything, the more you get out of it. On average, if you have additional members help out it will take even less time to upload newer files.
Please email metestbank@gmail.com to learn more or if you’re interested in becoming the new web masters to this resource.

Be the change you wish you see in the world and I hope to hear from our future webmasters soon.
